Howard Humphreys first registered their local practice in the 1930s and since then they were involved in several major projects in the region which have been successfully engineered and commissioned.

At the end of 1999, Howard Humphreys Kenya Limited a KBR company in Kenya transferred delivery of all its on-going projects in East Africa to Howard Humphreys (East Africa) Limited.
2016 🇬🇧
WS Atkins International Limited which is one of the largest engineering consultancies in UK, the largest multidisciplinary consultancy in Europe & one of large design firms acquired Howard Humphreys 2016.
July 2021 🇰🇪
In July 2021, following a management buyout, Howard Humphreys (East Africa) Limited reverted to local ownership with majority shareholding by Kenyan Engineers registered with the Engineers Board of Kenya.
